For the 2026 Toyota AFL Grand Final, Juddy Roller commissioned, curated and produced a monumental portrait of Kylie Minogue by acclaimed Australian artist Adnate. The work was created for Telstra and the AFL, alongside Mushroom Creative House, who led the Grand Final entertainment.
The portrait rises 13 storeys above Flinders Street on Clement House, directly opposite Flinders Street Station, and looks east across the city towards the MCG, where Kylie headlined the Telstra Pre-Game Entertainment.
From the first phone call to the deadline took 21 days. Once everything needed to get him onto the wall was in place, Adnate had seven days to paint it. The final strokes went on about 20 minutes before Kylie arrived to see it.

02 The ChallengeThe Brief
Mushroom Creative House first called about a mural of around two storeys to celebrate Kylie’s homecoming for Grand Final week. There was one problem: there wasn’t a wall. Within days, the ambition had become Clement House, a blank 13-storey facade in one of Melbourne’s most visible locations. The deadline didn’t move.
Our Approach
Engaged as commissioner, curator and producer, Juddy Roller brought long-time collaborator Adnate onto the project. We then ran permissions, access, engineering, cranage and swing-stage installation all at once, because every day lost was one less day to paint.
The Outcome
A 13-storey portrait of one of Australia’s most recognisable performers, above the centre of her hometown and facing the MCG. On reveal day, Kylie stepped onto the swing stage, rode up the building and added the finishing touches herself.

Building owners, construction teams, the City of Melbourne and the Victorian Government were all aligned in a matter of days.
Painting in Public
Adnate and a two-person painting team worked down the building for seven days, in full view of thousands of commuters passing Flinders Street Station.

04 The RevealWelcome home, Kylie.
On reveal morning the team was still painting. About 20 minutes before Kylie arrived, the final work was done. She walked onto site, stood beneath a 13-storey portrait of herself, then stepped onto the swing stage and added the finishing touches.
That Saturday, she headlined the Telstra Pre-Game Entertainment at the MCG, the stadium her portrait looks towards.

This project shows what Juddy Roller does best: turning an ambitious idea into landmark public art, with the curation, production and stakeholder management to deliver it when the timeline says it can’t be done.
